Telenor Collect Call Service

Features

The service is available for all Telenor prepaid and postpaid packages.
Person paying for the call will be charged as per his/her package plan.
The service also works while you are on roaming.

If you want someone else to pay for your call:

Dial *11# to receive a Menu
Enter Number of the person you want to send Call Back request to (any Telenor Prepaid/Postpaid Number) The caller is charged 10 paisa for each Collect Call request, irrespective of the duration of the call.

Call Party Approves by Call

Approve by Call

You (caller) will wait for a few seconds*.
You (caller) will receive a call from called party number, asking you to hold.
The called party will receive a call from your number, notifying him/her that s/he has been requested to pay for the call & an on-net call will be charged on approval. The charge for the on-net call will be as per price plan of the called party.
If the called party choose to continue the call, then the call will be connected. To dis-approve the call, called party just need to hang up. In case of hangup no charges are paid by the called party.
* The caller is charged 10 paisa for each Collect Call request, irrespective of the duration of the call.

Note:
There is a fair usage policy on number of Collect Call Requests. After a certain number of requests (set dynamically), more Collect Call requests will only be entertained after a lapse of few hours.
To ensure uninterrupted use of the service, the service will automatically switch to SMS based approval during times of high traffic.

Called Party Approves by SMS

An SMS Call Back Request is sent to the requested number
If the requested subscriber refuses to pay for your call, you will be notified via SMS
If the requested subscriber agrees to Pay for your call, your phone will ring and call will be charged to the requested subscribe

If you want to answer a call back request:
1: Reply with 1 (yes) to the Call Back request SMS
2: Receive the call when phone rings

If you do not want to answer the call back request:
1: Reply with 2 (No) to the Call Back request SMS
2: The person who has requested you to pay for the call will be told that you do not want to answer the Call Back request.

FAQs

What if Party B (called party) is off net (other mobile operator) number?
If the called party is off-net (other mobile operator), then he will not be able to receive Collect Call request.
What if Party A (calling party) or Party B (called party) is on IR (international roaming)?
- If Party A is on IR he can use the service as normal and If B-Party is on International Roaming, he cannot receive the Collect Call request.
- No. If called party is on IR, he will not be able to use Collect Call.
What if called party has blocked the calling person?
If either of the A or B party has blocked the other party then the call cannot be connected.
How much minimum balance should I have to make a collect call?
You should have minimum balance of 10 paisa to make a collect call request.
What should be the minimum balance of B Party to answer Collect Call?
B-Party has to have a min balance for a normal call to answer Collect Call.
What if Party B reaches 0 credit during the call?
Auto-advance is automatically enabled for Collect Call.
Will I (calling person) be charged if Collect Call request is not accepted?
Yes for every Collect Call request 10 paisa will be charged.
Can I use collect call on ported-in number?
Yes collect call will work on ported-in number
